Summer Days

Yesterday, we had grand plans to go to the zoo. Apparently everyone else did too. As we approached the the exit, it had been closed. We looked at the entrance of the zoo and cars were bumper to bumper trying to get in and 35 was gridlocked! See, it was only a dollar to get in yesterday and we wanted to take full advantage of that, but instead we turned around a little disappointed (me and mom, not Noah)! Bummer...I guess we will have to go back and pay the $8.75 each to get in.
Instead we went to Fair Park to the Aquarium there. It is really cheap to get in, and now we know why. This place was tiny! We walked around the aquarium showing Noah all the fish, sharks, sting rays, turtles, etc. He loved it and it was the perfect amount of time for a one and half year old... if you've seen one fish you seen them all! Anyways, I think all of our favorite part was walking around Fair Park after the aquarium. Here are some pics:

We topped off the day eating lunch at NorthPark and walking around our favorite mall. Thanks mom for getting us out of the house to enjoy summer!

Noah, The Architect

or Engineer...

Noah has really been into building things lately. He loves playing with his blocks (Lego's) and his stacking cups.

He's so proud of his creation!

Loving his blocks at almost 20 months old!

A-Rod's residence...we noticed paparazzi outside, so Aaron asked who they were waiting on and they said, "A-Rod" ! So, we stood there for a few minutes and got tired of waiting for him, so instead we snapped a pic of his place. oh well!
the boys on the subway
We are glad to be home, though! We missed Noah! He did great, of course, with my parents. He came to the airport with my parents to pick us up , and maybe the sweetest sound I have ever heard was hearing his little voice again! It will be awhile before we leave him that long again! Aaron and I talked about our favorite parts of the trip and we really couldn't decide on one thing...we loved it all! But, we did come to the conclusion that spending time with Kami and James was the best part of it all! We miss you guys...come back HOME soon!

"I'll be back"

So, you probably won't be hearing from me until a week from now. (Not like you hear from me that often) We will be traveling to Cooperstown, NY to see Kami and James tomorrow! We are so excited and maybe a little sad to leave Noah with my parents (thank you, thank you, thank you!!!)! Yes, this is our first trip longer than a night away from Noah!

As if Kami and James company won't be enough, we will also be going to NYC for a day or maybe two. On Friday, we have tickets, thanks to James' hook-up person, to the Yankees/Red Sox game on July 4th!
I'm excited to go, but obviously not as excited as Aaron! And if that wasn't enough baseball, of course, we will be touring the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown thanks to James (he works there). As I am writing this, I am sure Aaron has already mentally checked out of work and I am frantically cleaning and packing! Speaking of... better get back to it!

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!
