18 Weeks!

I can't believe I'm already at 18 weeks! This pregnancy (so far) has flown by, quite possibly because I have experienced it before. I really can't complain about anything. Baby boy has treated me well and am really enjoying the second trimester so far. He is already 7 oz and is about the length of a bell pepper (per Babycenter.com).
We had an enjoyable weekend. We had another date night courtesy of a movie gift card and my parents. We went to Snuffer's and pigged out on hamburgers and their famous cheese fries! YUM! Then, we went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Eh. The movie was looong and felt even longer!!! Oh well, at least we didn't pay to go see it!
Saturday, Noah got his hair cut and we did some shopping or should I say window shopping for Noah's new furniture. Since this baby is a boy we are going to move Noah to the guest room and make it his new big boy room. We plan to do this well before the baby is here to make it as least traumatic for him as possible. Since Noah's furniture and bedding is really nice and in such great shape we are just going to recycle it for the next baby and add some things to it to make it his own. Anyways, I also went shopping with my mom and Noah on Saturday for clothes...since mine are getting too snug.
Well, I am off to my niece Madison's birthday party! She turns the big 9 on Feb. 3rd! She is having a sleepover at the Hilton Bella Harbor...I know! It will be fun!

All about Noah

He loves sleeping with a ton of stuffed animals and almost every time he wakes up, this is how we find them. Poor Elmo...he is suffocating on the bottom!

He also went potty for the first time last week. Aaron is the bath-giver and always puts him on the potty before getting in. He has never gone before, but this time he asked to use the potty and go tee-tee. Don't get too excited, I really don't think he ready for the potty training course just yet, but hey, at least we know he is becoming interested!

Surprise!

It's a..............

BOY!!!!

We were just as surprised to find out so soon! I am almost 17 weeks and my Dr. wanted me to have a sonogram at 16 weeks (I will have them more frequently since I have a history of pre-term labor). Anyways, so I scheduled my ultrasound for today not really thinking that they could tell me anything but the Dr. felt very certain that he would have an answer for me. Aaron could not go with me since he had a meeting at the time, so I knew I didn't want to find out without him. The Dr. told me that he would tell me to close my eyes and he would print some pics, put them in an envelope, and seal it so we could open it up together later! What a great idea, I thought! I had my sono at Medical City which is near Aaron's work, so I course drove straight over there after I left the hospital. It was like the envelope was staring at me saying "Rip me open!!!" After what felt like the longest ten minutes of my life, I arrived at Aaron's work, he came out to the car and I let him open it. To the tell you the truth we weren't that surprised that it was a boy (we both thought it probably would be) but we were still VERY excited!

Noah is so oblivious to it all, but I have a feeling one day he will be glad to have a little brother to play catch with. We do have a name picked out, but we will let Noah tell you it a little later on. Maybe a pic of the sonogram in a later post. Welp, I'm off to sit with Aaron for a bit before he flies out to Florida tomorrow for the BIG game.

16 Weeks and Counting...

Here's me at 16 weeks and one day! Not much of a bump yet, but enough to have to buy a belly band (or Tummy Sash) since most of my pants don't fit. The baby is already the size of an avocado which is amazing to think about since I have already felt a few flutters! It will still probably be around 20 weeks when we get THE ultrasound to find out the sex...can't wait!

I am also, having major mood swings!! Last night we went on a date night to see Marley and Me and to eat at one of our faves Cristina's. The movie was really good but also very sad. At one point I was crying and could hear two ladies behind us sobbing, and of course, I started dying laughing because the whole theater was in tears! Leave it to the pregnant person to be dying laughing while everyone is crying their eyes out. Anyways, it is still hard to believe that it is already 2009! Hope everyone's New Year is filled with many blessings and lots of JOY!
