Halloween Eve

So, I though this was an appropriate title since Halloween is tomorrow. I kind of feel like Halloween has already come and gone since I have been to two carnivals, and already celebrated at preschool with a party! Tomorrow night should be fun though, since we are going trick or treating with Madison and Emma. When I say trick or treating, I mean going on a walk with the stroller.

Speaking of fun, we had a blast last week with Kami and James being in town. We did a lot of fun things like going to the arboretum, eating at yummy places, and Kami even came to preschool with me one day. Noah did have a few firsts last week which included getting sick in the car twice. That was not fun! Especially, when I was about to enter DFW airport and had to pull over on the side of the road and strip Noah while trying to clean it up as best as I could. I felt sorry for him more than anything. All and all he had a great time with his aunt and uncle! Here are some pictures from the week:

Noah with his aunt Kami or Kramsy as Aaron calls her

He even got to see his Nene and Grandad

One of the only pics i have of James from the week

Aren't I getting big in my high chair?

Like my costume??? I think I look cute!

Hopefully I will be getting the pictures from the Arboretum from Kami soon (hint hint). She took some great pictures of Noah and his cousins! Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

New Party Tricks

Noah is in his eleventh month and has some new party tricks! So, if you want to see them throw a party so he can show off for you! He is officially "pulling up" to standing position and has even started "cruising". He walked along the couch tonight which was so exciting! He still has to figure out how to move his feet just right because they get tangled some. All and all it is adorable! Here is a pic:

Sorry for the lapse in blogging! I was having too much fun with my sis-in-law Kami and bro-in-law James. We did a lot of fun things this past week which I will blog about tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Ellis Updates!

Well, Aaron just left for his golf trip to Bastrop, TX; leaving me and Noah for a weekend to ourselves. It is weird to think that the last time he went on his annual golf trip, I gave birth to Noah two days later!! Crazy! Anyways, I won't be all alone this weekend. Tonight, I will be hanging out with my mom some, and tomorrow Kami is coming in town! Yay! I am excited about the upcoming week that I am going to spend with Kami and James, because we rarely get to see them.

It is also rare that my parents-in-laws are in India as we speak or write or read. Kim is going to have both of her hips resurfaced while there, and they will be gone for about a month. All of the Ellis' would definitely covet your prayers at this time! I am praying, specifically, that this will be the last operation she needs, that she will be able to walk without any help, and that she will no longer be in any kind of pain. Also, that they will have safe travels. Please join in lifting up these specifics to a Father who can do "immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine." For further details of their month in India go to: http://www.davidel1957.blogspot.com/.

Thanks for your prayers!

Ellis Update

Well, just thought I would give a little update on the Ellis'. Our days seem to get busier and busier including weekends! Where does the time go?

Work is going really well and I am so glad that I took this job. I am truly enjoying it and it is a fun time to spend with my two year olds. They are still learning to walk in a line and that their mommies or daddies will not be picking them up for a while. Some of them cannot wait for nap time (I know, strange), and I have one child who just lays there still in the dark with his eyes wide open! They are all so precious! I also am enjoying getting to know the other teachers and chatting it up with them in the hall during nap time.

Aaron is somewhat enjoying the job he has now , but is training for a new position that he will soon take on. He is very excited about it and will be very good at it! I am so proud of him and how he is managed to to work his way up so fast in the company. Not only that, but, the way he is so passionate and a person that anyone at work can count on! They love him there and that says so much for the kind of employee and person he is! He will be going on a camping trip with a church men's group this weekend and the annual golf trip with his buddies the next weekend! Gosh, I am a good wife for letting him take all of these trips! Kidding.

Noah is 10 1/2 months already and is changing everyday. He looks like he will be pulling up really soon and has finally learned that he can get on his hands and knees. He still prefers doing his army crawl but has perfected it! He is a climber! I stack pillows on either side of the living room so that he can only stay in that area and he has learned to climb over them! He also has said some new words like, night night (ni ni) and is recognizing when to say all of the others. Like, today I put on my shoes and he said bye bye! It really was too cute!

Between work, Wednesday bible class, wed. night church, our TV shows, weekend activities, Sunday church and small group we are enjoying life as it is right now and enjoying the blessings that God has given us in the moment. Life will not ever be like this again so we are soaking up everything about it! I will leave with a picture our growing boy!

The Lion King & State Fair

On Tuesday night, me, my mom, Lindsay and Madison went to see Lion King the musical at Fair Park. The musical was a-mazing! Probably one of my favorites and I have seen a lot of them! I definitely would recommend it to anyone! The sets, props and costumes were incredible and sooo creative. Loved it! Here some pics!

Wednesday, we all headed out to the fair plus Emma and we had a blast! I had a Fletcher's corny dog, Texas nachos, tator twisters and some ice cream...yum yum! That is my favorite part of the fair...don't judge me! Here are some pics.

Noah did great and even took a nap in his stroller. He can't wait to sink his teeth in to a corny dog!

I rode on a "roller coaster" with the girls. That is all I can handle...my mom rode on the fast one that goes round and round and round.

We were all pooped afterwards, especially Madison!

Jam Packed Week(end)

Things I loved about this past weekend!

1. Spending time with family!
On Sunday afternoon we went over to my parents house and Aaron taught Madison how to ride her bike. We headed to a park in the neighborhood and just over an hour later she was riding without her training wheels. I'm so proud of her and Aaron for being such a good teacher!

2. Browsing NorthPark with Aaron and Noah!
This is one of our favorite malls (maybe our favorite) and we had a blast buying nothing and just walking around!

3. Church on Sunday!
It was question and answer Sunday and our preacher Marq bravely answered some questions from the congregation. I got to hear most of it, but Noah is having a hard time being quiet and staying still in church. Whenever it is the most quiet, he loves to hear himself talk or make noises. Kinda funny actually. Aaron also led singing again, which he did a great job as always!

4. Talking to Kami and James on Skype!
If you don't know what Skype is, it is an Internet telephone and when both parties have web cams you can see each other and have a conversation. It is very handy for relatives who live so far away like in New York! We talk to them every now and then, but this time made me more excited about their upcoming trip to Dallas in a few weeks!

Things I am looking forward to this week:

Fair Day, the Lion King, Bible study, dinner with friends, seeing Aaron's parents and brother, and the OU/Texas game. (I am not going but Aaron, his parents, and Jared are, and it will fun rooting for them at home!)

Side note: It was a sad Saturday for the Ellis' as OU lost a close one. I didn't think Aaron would get out of his stretchy pants all day! But, miraculously Texas and a bunch of other top ranked teams lost and there was suddenly a light at the end of the tunnel!
